Cane Corso's

I got my first Cane Corso in 2021. He was actually given to me as an 8-week-old puppy when a friend had some life changes and couldn’t care for him. At first, I was very nervous about bringing home a Cane Corso, especially since I had just had my son, Gus, who was only a few months old at the time. You hear too many stories of big dogs like that hurting small kids, but Gino grew up with Gus and it turned out to be the best thing ever. Gino is such a big teddy bear and is awesome with the kids. Wherever my kids are, that’s where Gino will be. We needed a good guard dog at our place, and Gino knows when he needs to do his job.
We got Nala in 2022, and we've done so much with her. Both dogs have gone to board and train with Amanda Pierce, but Nala is definitely more food-driven and trainable than Gino, who can be a tad lazy at times. Nala loves to please and loves to work. She is currently being shown in AKC conformation and is just one major away from her AKC championship. She also has her CGC and Trick Dog Intermediate Title, has done some protection work, and we plan on doing more in the future. Nala will have her first litter at the end of 2024.
Cane Corsos are a breed I never imagined owning, but now that I know the breed, I could never go without owning one. They get a bad rap for sure, but these dogs love their families and are very loyal to them.
